Hi Shannon,

MLCA hosted its annual meeting last Thursday evening, July 28.  As you might imagine, one of the agenda topics was the landscaping work the board has undertaken, as well as the change in landscape contractor.  The change in landscape contractor was first brought up in the context of the annual budget.  The Blade Runners contract is significantly more expensive than our previous contractor and to cover the additional cost we will have to raise our dues.

Such increases are never popular, but there is good news: everyone in attendance agreed the landscaping looks very nice, and so there were zero objections when we explained the need to raise dues.  Everyone agreed this is money well spent.  One fellow not often complimentary of the board wrote us “The landscape seems more brilliant and adds to our street scape. And thanks for that.”

Thank you for the fine job the crew is doing.  It’s very pleasant coming into our neighborhood and seeing well-kept lawns, trimmed sidewalks and flower beds without weeds.  It’s a dramatic improvement, and we’re all very happy with the change.

Hi Andy,

I saw the crew planting today. You were right about the plants. They all look nice (and they went above and beyond and pulled up some invasive ground cover while they were there. Please thank them for us.

Shannon,

That is correct. Looking forward to continuing our relationship. Our neighborhood has been extremely happy with your services.

Hi Shannon,
I wanted to reach out and let you know that Tanners Cluster has not forgotten about this proposal! : ) Our next Board Meeting is on 10/18. So you can expect an answer the week of 10/18. I don’t expect any issues. We love Blade Runners and are always so appreciative. The staff are amazing, very responsive.
Will be looping back with you soon!

Best,

Nicole

Thanks Shannon –

Here is an RFP for another one of my properties that is looking to change their landscaper.

Would love to have Blade Runners on another one of my properties!

I am a certified fan of Blade Runners and appreciate the work that you do…  Also a small community, you have really upped the look at the property and I feel confident that you are doing a good job out there.

In my experience, I have never had board meetings where the community forum is filled with residents telling me what a good job a company did on snow removal or recent mowing and edging.  I HAVE gotten those very comments about Blade Runners.

The board is going to review the proposals and hopefully make a decision shortly.  I will be in touch with the results of their decision.  Thanks again for the proposal and have a nice weekend!

Shannon,

First – thanks. Appreciate your team.

Have been seeing them out and about and it is noticeably improved the grounds during this high growth period…

American Management of Virginia, Compliments about Emergency Tree Removal

“Would like to give the thumb ups for Blade Runners professional job on a fallen tree at the back of my house , cutting it down with extreme care and causing any forward  damage to our neighbors house which it failed and also the cleanup that they have done, congratulations”

**Blade Runners offers Tree Services to the clients we maintain and have a grounds contract with.  We have a full service tree department with two Arborists on staff.  See the Awesome Crawler, we know not all trees are along the street.  The crawler can get to those hard to reach tree with less damage to your property.

Lanelle –

I am actually writing to you with a positive comment.  I am between meetings tonight and the first meeting featured a blade runners fan club meeting.  The community has had it struggles financially but decided to contract with Blade Runners and quite honestly, I have never heard a board or community produce this type of accolades for a snow removal company or landscape firm.  You were out at the community today and they were all happy to see you – and all agreed that you have done a great job on the snow – and I had to chime in as well letting them know that I get excellent communication from the company about landscape or snowscape matters.

Thanks again for doing a great job for my community and helping me to look good.  I wanted to share with you the positive comments because we often live in the land of complaints!

Pat yourself on the back and thank everyone on your team.

Best regards,

Kris
